We contracted ZC Technical to do all the Copper façade work to the recently completed Wesley House re-development on Ann Street in Brisbane City. The contract involved the supply and installation of the Copper cladding and roof sheeting as well as 200mm deep sub-framing to the structure.

Matrix was presented with a “challenging task” on this project as the plans and details were not coordinated and the architect had very specific needs in regards to design intent. ZC was able to provide good feedback on design and fabrication to assist the architect and Matrix achieve the best possible outcome. Simon from ZC represented an excellent knowledge of the product and its application. Simon was also very clear on the performance of the product in various applications which added great value to the team and the overall trade coordination.

In regards to the performance of ZC Technical on programme it was clear that they worked all necessary hours to ensure the project was completed with the time frames agreed. ZC was one of the outstanding performers on programme and were consistently on site working harder and longer hours than any other trade.

I first met Simon 3 years ago when I asked him to price a very intricate house at Noosa Heads. The job involved a complicated roof and some very prominent wall cladding.I also obtained a price from Simon’s competitors. When the prices came in Simon was about 2% dearer than the other quotes.

I decided to go with Simon even though he was dearer as I was extremely impressed with not only his knowledge of the product but his ability to work with the architect. The right decision as it turned out. Simon and his team have a level of craftsmanship rarely seen.

I have used other installers in the past and have never come across anyone with the skills that Simon has. Learning the trade in Europe and Scandinavia I feel has placed him in a different league to his peers. I could not recommend him and his crew more highly.

I first met Simon when I was looking for someone to clad a structure in copper.

At the time the project was in its concept phase and Simon's knowledge of the material and construction detailing was invaluable in helping us deliver our concept for a given budget. Simon and his team were always accommodating and professional to deal with.

If I had the opportunity I would clad everything in copper or zinc and have ZC Technical do it.

QUT Shades structures precinct, Kelvin Grove Campus:The opportunity to use zinc arose on a small insertion within a complex heritage precinct where contemporary and colonial structures co-exist. Zinc offered a surface that could speak with the existing palette of materials whilst offering its own beautiful characteristics. The design team consulted with Simon from ZC Technical during early stages of the project establishing preliminary details and costings that proved invaluable in seeking Client support.Simon’s willingness to discuss details and local capabilities during the early design stages allowed a smooth construction phase delivering an excellent outcome. The material and design outcome speak for themselves with zinc playing a significant role in the overall success of the project.

We were very pleased to work with ZC Technical’s Cladding System on a large ocean front residential project on the Gold Coast. ZC Technical’s ability to help us create the exact details we wanted was very important to us to deliver what we wanted to our client.

As well as difficult and very specific details around all fascias and soffits, we were able to create gates and garage doors in zinc. ZC Technical made this possible with aesthetics and quality at the very highest level of satisfaction to us and our client.

ZC Technical completed the Zinc Cladding to our commercial project in Perth WA. ZC were by far the most professional contractor on this commercial site and were a pleasure to deal with. Led by Simon from QLD, it was reassuring to know regardless of the geography the Simon was available for any meeting requested by us in WA.
